China Passes Law to Counter  Foreign Sanctions: Global Times

China's legislature passed the anti-foreign sanctions law backing countermeasures against unilateral and discriminatory measures imposed by foreign countries, the Global Times said. Deportation, denying entry and freezing assets against foreign individuals and organizations are among countermeasures to stop what China sees as long-arm jurisdiction, the newspaper said. The law underscores the Chinese government's attitude on the legal aspect when it confronts the U.S. government that has abused sanctions or long-arm jurisdiction to severely damage China, and aims to safeguard China's rights and dignity, the newspaper said.
