China to Import 1.58m mt of LNG in Next 7 Days

China is expected to import 23 cargoes totalling 1.58m mt in the next seven days from Dec. 14, according to OilChem.

  • This is down 9.7% on the week, based on estimate made on Dec. 7 for total arrivals in the week to Dec. 13
  • Of the total, 0.5m mt will be supplied from Australia, 0.47m mt from Qatar, and 0.29m mt from the USA.
  • China’s spot LNG price currently averages 5,792 y/t as of Dec. 14, a fall of 5 y/t on the previous day. Imported LNG ex-terminal prices were 6,037 y/t Dec. 14, down 2 y/t on the day.
  • LNG prices have stabilised due to little change in daily arrivals and a stable downstream demand.
