China’s CDU Capacity to Rebound this Week: OilChem

CDU capacity utilisation rates at China’s state-owned refineries are expected to rebound in the week to July 18 according to OilChem, as Dushanzi Petrochem restarts from an overhaul.

  • Among independent refineries in China’s Shandong province, CDU capacity utilisation rates are also estimated to rise as Rizhao Haiyou resumes production and Dongming Petrochem hits full capacity.
  • CDU capacity utilisation rates at domestic refineries in China averaged 67.81% last week, down 0.78 percentage points on the previous seven-day period.
  • China’s gasoline demand is projected to continue gathering momentum with summer peak demand in full swing and temperatures boosting car air conditioning usage.
  • Gasoil demand is lingering in its seasonal low, with demand remaining weak.
