CDU capacity utilisation rates at China’s state-owned refineries are expected to rise in the week to Dec. 26, as Wuhan Petrochem is set to return from maintenance, according to OilChem,

  • Among independent refineries in China’s Shandong province, CDU capacity utilisation rates are estimated to fall as a refinery plans to cut crude throughput to zero.
  • CDU capacity utilisation rates at domestic refineries in China averaged 67.80% last week, down 0.39 percentage points on the previous seven-day period.
  • China’s gasoline demand is projected to remain stable this week, while retail stations maintain high inventories.
  • Gasoil demand has remained muted, and the recent fall in crude prices has failed to boost confidence.
