CHINA: China's imports and exports showed resilience in the first half, customs
administration spokesman Li Kuiwen said at a briefing on Friday. Exports rose
9.5% to CNY4.67 trillion while imports gained 1.4% to CNY4.11 trillion, data by
the agency showed. The number of exporters registered continued to grow in the
first half, Li said. While rising protectionism and "unstable and uncertain"
factors will continue challenge China in the second half, the government is
confident of "high-quality" growth and exporters continue to show confidence, he
said.
