CHINA DATA: China's January manufacturing PMI fell by 0.2 percentage point from
December to the breakeven point of 50.0%, indicating a slowing rate of
production expansion, the National Bureau of Statistics said on its website on
Friday. The gauge for non-manufacturing industries rose by 0.6 pp to 54.1%,
extending an upward trend since the end of 2019, it said. The overall PMI output
fell 0.4 pp to 53%, indicating slowing overall business activities, it said. The
survey was conducted before Jan 20, so the impact from the novel coronavirus
outbreak hasn't been fully reflected, the bureau said.
