China’s LNG production up 7.93% on week

Production at Chinese LNG liquefaction facilities rose 7.93% to 424,500 mt in the week to Aug. 24, according to OilChem.

  • Production rose amid unit restarts at some of the facilities, OilChem said.
  • The operating rate at Chinese facilities was 58%, up 5 percentage points on the week.
  • LNG inventories at Chinese LNG facilities rose 2.71% on the week to 303,400 mt, according to OilChem.
  • The sales-output ratio was 98.02%, down 3.01 percentage points due to weakening demand.
