China’s Official & Caixin PMIs Headline Docket

China's Official and Caixin PMI's for October provide the highlight of the Asian docket this week, October CPI from South Korea is also due.

  • China - Outside of the aforementioned PMI data the docket is light in China this week with just Q3 Current Account Balance due on Friday.
  • South Korea - October CPI on Thursday provides the highlight of the docket this week, headline CPI is expected to tick lower to 0.2% M/M from 0.6%. Also due this week is September Industrial Production (Tuesday), October Trade Balance (Wednesday) and October S&P Global Mfg PMI (Wednesday).
  • Taiwan - Due tomorrow we have the Advance read of Q3 GDP, an uptick to 2.20% Y/Y is expected. Wednesdays October S&P Global Mfg PMI rounds off the docket.
  • Singapore - On the wires tomorrow we have September Money Supply, on Thursday Purchasing Managers Index for October is due. S&P Global Mfg PMI for October and September Retail Sales round off the week on Friday.
  • India - Tomorrow the September Fiscal Deficit is released, Eight Infrastructure Survey also crosses. On Wednesday we have S&P Global Mfg PMI, and the Services and Composite components cross on Friday.
  • Indonesia - S&P Global Mfg PMI for October is due early on Wednesday, October CPI also crosses on Wednesday.
  • Thailand - On the wires tomorrow we have September Trade Balance and Capacity Utilization. Further out S&P Global Mfg PMI crosses on Wednesday alongside Business Sentiment. Weekly Foreign Reserves data rounds off the docket on Friday.
  • Malaysia - S&P Global Mfg PMI for October is due on Wednesday. On Thursday the latest monetary policy decision from the BNM rounds off the week.
  • Philippines - September Bank Lending crosses on Tuesday before S&P Global Mfg PMI rounds off the docket on Friday.
