CHINA: China's stance on U.S. trade sanctions has not changed, according to
China's Ministry of Commerce, and the government may take any possible measure
to defend the interests of the country and its people. Gao Feng, spokesman of
the ministry, said at a press briefing on Thursday that the U.S. should stop
protectionist action, and stressed that negotiation is necessary to find a
solution. China has principles in trade negotiations, stressed Gao, and it will
not accept unilateralist attempts at negotiation; the conversation should be
collaborative and constructive.
