China’s State Refiners’ Run Rates To Hit Record In August

Chinese state refiners plan to raise run rates to a record 81.25% in August, a month-on-month rise of 1.26%, according to OilChem.

  • Refinery runs have increased as refineries resume operations following maintenance season, with capacity outages falling to 700k mt in August, down 50% on July.
  • Gasoline production is expected to be 11.02m mt, with current gasoline yields at 24.76%. Diesel production is estimated to fall 0.68% on the month to 11.27m mt, while diesel yields stand at 25.32%,
  • Jet fuel yields stand at 11.24%, with output expected to rise 7.92% to 5.01m mt.
  • The general yield rate of refined oil will then inch up 0.75 percentage point from July to 61.3% in August.
