China's Xi Vows to Seek Further Regional Trade Deals

China will push for the signing of the Regional Economic Cooperative Partnership, a pan-Asia trade pact, and speed up China-EU, China-Japan-Korea free trade negotiations, Chairman Xi Jinping said at the opening ceremony of China International Import Expo. Xinhua reported that China is likely to import USD22 trillion worth of products in the next 10 years to meet demand from its 400 million middle-income earners. Xi also promised to further open up markets and promote the digital economy, Xinhua reported.
