CHINA
CHINA: Chinese markets have opened with choppy trading today after the week long
break, with USDCNH dipping as low as 6.7651 before a weaker PBOC fix saw the
pair recover some losses to trade down 0.15% on the day, just ahead of its
200-dma.
- The has been a sharp divergence among equity markets with Shenzhen and the
Chinext gaining 0.7% and 1.0% respectively even as the main indices trade
broadly flat.
- Bond futures are virtually flat after the PBOC skipped open market operations
resulting in a net drain of CNY20 billion due to maturing reverse repos.
