BOE: Citi Economics is concerned that the UK wage data, on its own, should not
be discounted. The increase in pay growth was due to base effects, as we have
pointed out before, and will start to come off in months ahead. This expected
pullback amid rising risks for growth challenges the BoE's hawkish message. They
still call for an August hike.
