Citi Highlight Short USD Maintained As Consensus, EUR Positioning Also Short

The Citi FX quant team have noted that their Flow & Positioning indicator shows “short USD was still consensus positioning into this week. USD positioning is still quite short, suggesting we may see further tactical position reduction/profit taking on dollar shorts over coming day(s). The strong net USD selling that started the first week of January has levelled off to some extent more recently, but there have still been net outflows. Additionally, positioning in EUR is now short, too.”
