Citi Survey Sees 25bps Hike at November Banxico Meeting

  • Overnight Citi published results of biweekly analysts' survey in email:
    • Next rate move to be a 25 bps increase in November.
    • 2021 year-end inflation raised to 5.10% from 5.06%.
  • (Bloomberg) -- While CFE's distancing from renewable energy may not have credit implications in the short term, it could have risks in the next three to five years, Moody's Investors Service says in a research note.
    • Environmental issues are becoming increasingly important to creditors, so the lack of a clear policy in Mexico and the CFE toward renewable energies and the reduction of carbon emissions could imply less access to debt market, according to the note.
