Cleveland Fed Trimmed Mean CPI Lowest Since Apr’21

  • Cleveland Fed median CPI dipped to 0.53% M/M in October from 0.67% in Sep and a high of 0.74% in Aug.
  • The 16% trimmed mean meanwhile slowed to its softest since Apr’21, down from a June high of 0.8% M/M and 0.2pps on the month to 0.37% M/M, although still clearly above the sequential rate consistent with the 2% target (with that having been the case since Jan’21).
