- CNB Vice Governor Zamrazilova mentioned in a recent interview that the central bank should act cautiously on interest rates as risks of a significant economic slowdown have been rising.
- We previously mentioned that the sharp tightening in financial conditions has been pricing in a sharp deceleration in the economic activity in H2 (see chart).
- Economic data showed this morning that business surveys remain at depressed level with manufacturing PMI remaining unchanged at 46.8 in August, well below the 50-line threshold that separates growth from contraction.
- EURCZK has been consolidating lower in the past week, currently testing its 24.50 support. Next key level to watch on the downside stands at 24.30. On the topside, resistance to watch stands at 24.6350 (100DMA).
