Reuters reporting that, "Negotiations between Germany's three coalition partners have been postponed until Tuesday after they failed to reach agreement on points of contention..."

  • According to Reuters: "A spokesperson for the Social Democrats (SPD) also confirmed the postponement of talks, saying that they had been interrupted due to the German-Dutch government consultations in Rotterdam taking place later in the day."
  • Bloomberg reported this morning that the ruling coalition were "still locked in talks after around 18 hours seeking agreement on issues including modernizing Germany’s highway system and measures to protect the climate."
  • Bloomberg: "Although the coalition is unlikely to break apart anytime soon, the discord in Berlin has disrupted business at the European Union level and is an unwelcome distraction for Scholz as he focuses on Germany’s role in the international alliance supporting Ukraine."
