  • "Colonial Pipeline is responding to a report of a potential gasoline release on our right of way in Paulding County, Ga.," it said in a statement. "We have temporarily shut down Line 1, crews are on scene coordinating response efforts, and we have made all required notifications."
  • Line 1 runs from Houston to Greensboro, N.C. It is the primary line for conveying gasoline products.
  • The news has caused a spike in gasoline cracks on the day, which have erased most of the steady losses seen Jan. 10 and 13.
