Confidence In Constitutional Convention Falls Again, CLP Under Pressure

  • Gabriel Boric maintains the lead in the presidential race with 23% of voting intentions, followed by Sebastian Sichel with 17%, according to the latest Cadem poll conducted between September 23 and 24. Jose Antonio Kast is in third place with 13%, former Senate President Yasna Provoste is in fourth place with 10%.
  • Chile's Constitution Commission will continue review of the bill for a fourth pension withdrawal from 9am local Santiago time. The bill would be voted on tomorrow in the Senate.
  • The Chilean Peso remains under pressure. The focus remains on 795.73, Aug 9 high and the bull trigger. A break would confirm a resumption of the uptrend that started May 10 and open 800.00 and 803.49, Oct 15, 2020 high.
