Conservatives Extend Lead To 11% In Latest Survation Poll

Latest opinion poll from Survation shows Prime Minister Boris Johnson's Conservatives with an 11% lead over the main opposition Labour Party, from the two being neck-and-neck in the previous April poll.

  • Survation poll: CON: 44% (+6), LAB: 33% (-5), LD: 8% (-), GRN: 6% (+1), SNP: 4% (-1), OTH: 4% (-1). 1,041 respondents, 25-26 May '21. Changes w/ 27-29 April '21.
  • Leadership Ratings: Boris Johnson / Keir Starmer: Net Rating: 4% (+11) / -11% (-7), Favourable 42% (+4) / 27% (-6) Neutral 17% (+3) / 26% (+2), Unfavourable 38% (-7) / 38% (+1). 1,041 respondents, 25-26 May '21. Changes w/ 27-29 April.
  • Best Prime Minister: Boris Johnson: 45% (+4), Keir Starmer 28% (-5), Don't know 27% (+1). 1,019 respondents, 25-26 May '21. Changes w/ 27-29 April.
  • Government Performance Favourability Ratings: Net Rating: 6% (+8), Favourable 41% (+2), Neutral 22% (+5), Unfavourable 35% (-7). 1,041 respondents, 25-26 May '21. Changes w/ 27-29 April.
  • Should be noted that some of the fieldwork for this poll was carried out before testimony delivered on 26 May by ex-Downing St senior advisor Dominic Cummings, which garnered significant media attention. Cummings openly attacked Johnson and gov'ts handling of the pandemic. Westminster observers keen to see if Cummings' comments have any impact on public support for gov't.
