INDONESIA:  Country Wrap:  Indonesia’s SWF to Receive $20bn

  • Indonesia’s new Sovereign Wealth Fund Danantara, will see the $20bn of projected budget savings channeled into it to help finance high priority projects (source : BBG).
  • Indonesia’s Finance Ministry has announced that they will sell bonds to finance low income housing projects.  The funds will create a facility whereby eligible borrowers can borrow for a home at a subsidized rate. (source: BBG)
  • Indonesia’s Jakarta Composite had a very strong week last week up over 2.5% but is giving some of that back today down by -0.80%.
  • IDR:  as regional currencies have a solid start to the week, the Rupiah is better by +0.18% at 16,281.
  • Bonds:  a good day for the short end with yields up to 2bps lower.  INGDOGB 10YR unchanged at 6.78%.
