OIL: CPC Tengiz-Novorossiisk Pipeline Shipped 13.5m Tonnes So Far in 2025

OIL

The CPC Tengiz-Novorossiisk pipeline system has transported 13.5m metric tonnes of crude oil from Jan. 1 to March 11 with 118 tankers loaded at the CPC Marine Terminal, the operator said on March 17.

  • The flow is equivalent to 1.5mb/d, based on a 7.9 barrel to ton conversion, and compares to a total of 63m tons, or 1.36mb/d in 2024.
  • It appears workarounds were found to bypass the pumping station in southern Russia hit by a drone strike in February 17. Repairs works to the Kropotkinskaya NPS are ongoing.
  • The majority of Kazakstan oil exports are via the CPC pipeline crossing Russia to the Black Sea port of Novorossiisk.
