CPI Inflation Expected to Average 3.3% in 2021

POLAND
  • Poland's CPI, which is currently standing at 2.3%, is expected to rise to 3.3% in 2021 (vs. 2.6%) according to Credit Agricole, mostly driven by the surge in fuel prices.
  • CPI inflation is then expected to ease to 2.4% in 2022.

Has the 10Y already priced in the temporary rise in headline inflation in the coming months?

  • Poland 10Y yield has been consolidating lower in the past few weeks amid the worsening COVID situation in eastern Europe, which has lowered the expectations over an early hike in H2 from CEE central banks.
  • Important supports to watch on the downside are 1.44%, followed by 1.40%. On the topside, 1.60% remains the ST key resistance.
