Croatia’s Krk LNG Terminal Regasified More than 11.5mcm Since 2021 Launch

Croatia’s Krk LNG terminal has shipped more than 7bcm of natural gas into the Croatian system and regasified more than 11.5mcm of LNG according to LNG Croatia on Tuesday.

  • The terminal has received 85 cargoes since the launch of operations in January 2021.
  • Arrivals to the Croatian FSRU mainly originate from the US, but cargoes also arrive from Qatar, Nigeria, Egypt, Trinidad, Indonesia, and reloads from European terminals.
  • LNG Croatia is currently working to boost the capacity of its FSRU Krk LNG terminal due to high demand. The upgrade is expected to increase capacity to about 6.1bcm per year in 2025. The current three LNG regasification units have a maximum regasification rate of 451,840 m3/h.
  • Croatia LNG utilisation has averaged 55% so far this year according to GIE data.
