Crude Net Longs Fall Again to Lowest Since June

OIL POSITIONING

WTI Crude managed money net long positions followed the decline in Brent according to the delayed Commitments of Traders data released yesterday. The combined net long positions for Brent and WTI fell by -19k to the lowest since early June at 233k.

  • Nymex diesel net long positions dipped slightly lower on the week but Nymex gasoline net longs rose again to the highest in nine weeks.
    • ICE Brent net longs fell by -16k to +155k
    • ICE Gasoil rose by +13k to +22k
    • Nymex WTI net longs fell by -20k to 105k
    • Nymex diesel fell by -2k to +33k
    • Nymex gasoline rose by +13k to 64k
