FOREX: Currency markets in the Asia-Pacific session were a quiet affair,
investors remaining cautious ahead of the US tax vote, leaving the dollar
broadly unchanged from Monday's close in New York. Dollar-yen trekked between
Y112.54 and Y112.67. Aussie-dollar consolidated within a tight $0.7656 to
$0.7670 range. RBA's December minutes met with a muted response, the central
bank was upbeat on economy growth and jobs, but cautious over wage growth and
household debt. Euro-dollar traversed between $1.1777 and $1.1789, large option
strikes seen containing the range. Meanwhile, cable moved between $1.3362 and
$1.3385. Ahead in Europe, German IFO for December may ignite some activity.
