FOREX: Currency markets over the festive season have largely been becalmed and
it was little different during today's Asia-Pacific session. Dollar-yen rose
modestly from Y113.17 to Y113.36, with fix related demand the catalyst.
Aussie-dollar climbed from $0.7724 to $0.7742, aussie-kiwi buying was seen to
underpin. Meanwhile, euro-dollar currently trades at $1.1863 and cable at
$1.3372, after trading in respective ranges of $1.1855 to $1.1867 and $1.3368 to
$1.3380.
