FOREX
FOREX: Decent uptick in the likes of AUD, CAD in recent trade as volumes begin
to pick up headed into the NY crossover. Best volumes of the session go through
in AUD futures, with over 500 contracts changing hands inside 60 seconds on the
latest uptick - helping the move stand out against a relatively quiet session so
far.
- No headline driver as such, with markets still waiting for confirmation on the
time of Trump's presser at which he is to make a "series of announcements" on
China, according to Secretary of State Pompeo.
- CAD also moving in tandem, pressuring USD/CAD through both the Thursday and
Wednesday lows in the process.
- Worth recalling all bank month-end models uniformly eyeing USD selling for
month of May.
