Defence Minister Vows To Increase Security On Belarus Border, NBP's Tyrowicz Speaks

  • Defence Minister Mariusz Blaszczak said that Warsaw wants to boost military presence on the border with Belarus to 10,000 soldiers over the next two years. He said that the government is considering closing all border crossings with Belarus if military provocations continue. Deputy Interior Minister Maciej Wasik yesterday said that such a move could hit Chinese trade going through these crossings, adding that Beijing should "send the right signal to Lukashenko."
