CABLE: Despite the positive reaction to the earlier Times story suggesting the
ONS had made a mistake in Friday's Unit Labour Costs, the actual official
correction does little to spur sterling on with cable currently trading around
$1.3118, little changed when this was announced. ONS says Q2 Unit Labour Costs
revised to 2.4% yy, from 1.6%. This confirmation had been expected to strengthen
the argument for the BOE MPC to hike rates at their next meeting.
