US VIEW: Deutsche Bank chief international economist Torsten Slok said that "we
think at the end of 2018, 10-year bunds will be 1%, 10-year gilts will be 2%,
and 10-year US treasuries will be 3%." (German Bunds today are 0.310%, 10Y Gilt
is at 1.221%, 10Y US TSy is at 2.410%.)
- "What's different now compared to the past five years?" he said. "The answer
is that with stronger global growth economies are reaching full capacity, and
that is by definition when inflation pressures begin to appear and hence when
central banks begin to exit."
