DOLLAR-THB : USD/THB has added 9 pips and last sits at THB31.64. Thailand
reported its CPI data today, with headline inflation printing at -3.44% Y/Y vs.
the previous -2.99% & exp. of -3.21%. Thai Commerce Ministry off'l commented
that the country has entered a "technical deflation" after three straight
negative readings, adding May should be "the lowest point" for national CPI.
Nevertheless, Commerce Ministry expects 2020 CPI to be negative.
- Bulls look to retake the 100-DMA at THB31.77 before attempting a move at May
25 high of THB32.00. Bears would be pleased by a fall through yesterday's low of
THB31.50, which would open the THB31.32/31 area, hosting the lows of Mar 5/4/2.
- Thailand's consumer confidence will be published later today, with foreign
reserves due Friday.
