EQUITIES
EQUITIES: E-minis nudged higher overnight, extending on Friday's late bid,
despite weekend news flow that seemed to be net negative for risk sentiment.
- The Hang Seng lagged in Asia, softening on heightened tension surrounding the
Chinese Security bill (on both a local and international level), although the
index did manage to briefly reverse its intraday losses at one point before
weakening again.
- The Nikkei 225 benefitted from the dynamic in U.S. equity indices and the
removal of the state of emergency for the Japanese prefectures that were still
under such instruction.
- Nikkei 225 +1.5%, Hang Seng -0.8%, CSI 300 -0.1%, ASX 200 +1.5%.
- S&P 500 futures +9, DJIA futures +79, NASDAQ 100 futures +34.
