E-Minis Testing Friday Highs

MARKET TALK

The 3 major e-mini contracts are threatening a break through their respective Friday highs in early trade, building on the momentum witnessed during Friday's Wall St. session, despite the latest round of Sino-U.S. tension surrounding Chinese chip giant SMIC. The regional Asia-Pac docket is thin on Monday, so market and headline flow will be at the fore. Also worth noting that the weekend saw U.S. President Trump formally nominate Judge Amy Coney Barrett for a position within the Supreme Court, which was in line with broader expectations. The hearing process on the matter is expected to get underway in a couple of weeks.
