EdF Issues New Dates for Heat-Related Nuclear Cuts

EdF may reduce nuclear output at the 2.67GW St Alban complex on 10-16 August, at the 3.58GW Bugey facility on 9-16 August and at the 3.66GW Tricastin complex on 12-16 August due to high temperature forecasts at the Rhone river, remit data showed.

  • The 1.34GW St Alban 1 nuclear plant is currently scheduled to be offline 17 August until 13 October amid planned maintenance.
  • EdF also extended the potential nuclear production curbs at the 2.62GW Golfech reactors by three days until 17 August due to high temperatures forecast on the Garonne river, with one unit in must run amid grid constraints.
  • Golfech 2 will also undergo planned works until 26 August.
