EdF Workers To Strike Until 11 March, Additional Strike 14-15 March

Current industrial action at EdF’s power stations is scheduled to end Saturday evening but workers announced further strike action for 14-15 March, remit data show.

  • Nuclear generation capacity is curtailed by 2.96GW until Friday evening 10PM. Additional strike action is expected to reduce output on Saturday. In addition, French hydropower output is reduced by 4.62GW.
  • Output has been curtailed on Friday at the Cruas 2, Tricastin 2, Tricastin 3, Civaux 1, Tricastin 1, Flamanville 2, Dampierre 2, Gravelines 3, Gravelines 4 reactors.
  • Workers at EdF announced additional strike action from Tuesday 14 March 9pm for 24 hours, but this could likely be extended as this week’s strike action was also initially scheduled to last one day.
Looking further ahead, the outage at the 910MW Blayais 1 reactor has been extended by one week until 30 March.
