Egypt's Hoegh Galleon Pulling First Cargoes In

LNG

Egypt is pulling in LNG cargoes again after the Hoegh Galleon FSRU set up at Ain Sukhna, south of Suez, in mid-June.

  • The Hellas Athina delivered a first cargo on 1 July and it looks like Gaslog Hong Kong is also heading there too according to ICIS.
  • Earlier this year Egyptian company EGAS bought some LNG cargoes that were delivered to Jordan's Aqaba terminal, with the gas then sent back into Egypt via pipe.
  • Cargoes into Jordan and Egypt have been the only laden LNG tankers to deliver through the Suez Canal since mid-January.
