Election: Erdogan States He Can Still Win, But Will Accept Runoff If That Is The Outcome

Turkish President Erdogan has stated that he can still win the election, but stated he would respect a runoff if that is the outcome. The head of Turkey's election board stated that Erdogan has 49.49% of the vote, with just under 92% of the vote counted. Kilicdaroglu is at 44.79%.

  • Bloomberg stated that Erdogan's share is at 49.4% with 99% of votes countered, quoting the state broadcaster TRT. They also noted that Kilicdaroglu stood at 44.9%.
  • Erdogan stated his party is far ahead (2.6mln votes ahead of their nearest rivals). He added that AKP-LED alliance has won a clear majority in parliament.
