South Africa begin the process to delay the municipal election date in October, inline with expectations.

  • Was known mid-July that the Electoral Commission would be seeking to delay municipal elections that were originally slated for October. The ongoing nature of the COVID-19 pandemic has prompted the recommendation, and the Commission eyes a new date "not later than the end of February 2022"
