The latest EU ETS CAP3 auction cleared slightly higher at €65.35/ton CO2e, compared with the previous auction at €65.06/ton CO2e according to EEX. 

  • The cover ratio was at 1.64, compared with the previous auction 1.42 and below the five-year average but within the five-year range.
  • There was a total of 24 bids with 19 successful bids.
  • The mean price was at €66.15/t CO2e and the median price was at €65.10/ton CO2e.
  • EU ETS Dec24 is trading higher today with forecasts for cooler weather in NW Europe, exceeding gains in EU gas markets.
    • EUA DEC 24 up 3% at 65.7 EUR/MT
