EMISSIONS: EUA Funds Positioning Turns More Bearish For Second

Investment funds positioning in EU ETS futures on the ICE exchange turned more bearish for the second consecutive week with net short positioning increasing, latest COT data as of 6 September showed.

  • Investment Funds net short positionings increased by 7,573 to -14,238
  • Investment Firm net short positionings decreased by 2,148 to -350,947.
  • Commercial Undertaking net long positionings increased by 7,343 to 286,685.
  • EU ETS Dec24 prices pulled back last week, weighed on by losses in the EU natural gas market, ahead of the compliance deadline at the end of the month.
