Speculator positioning in EU ETS futures on the ICE exchange were again more bullish with investment funds long positioning rising, the latest COT data as of 15 November showed.

  • Investment Funds net long positionings increased last week by 7,548 to +8,989.
  • Investment Firm net short positionings increased by 7,141 to -385,040.
  • Commercial Undertaking net long positionings edged lower by 3,830 to +290,355.
  • EU ETS Dec24 allowances edged up by almost 2% last week, mostly supported by gains in the EU gas markets.
