ENERGY: ARA Crude, US Oil & US Gas Stocks and Rig Counts

  • The latest Genscape European ARA crude inventories will be released today at 09:00GMT. Stocks were last week back up near to normal at 53.22mbbl.
  • The EIA weekly petroleum inventory data for the week ending Nov. 22 is due for release today at 10:30ET (15:30GMT). A Bloomberg survey expects a 0.52mbbl draw in U.S. crude stocks, a 0.39mbbl draw in gasoline and a 0.05mbbl draw in distillates while refinery utilisation falls 0.08 percentage points.
  • The EIA weekly gas inventories for the week ending Nov. 22 will be released this afternoon at 12:00 ET (17:00GMT). The expectation is for a withdrawal of 1bcf according to a Bloomberg survey following a draw of 3bcf the previous week. The previous five year average shows withdrawals of around 30bcf.
  • The latest Baker Hughes rig count data is due for release at 13:00ET.  The US oil rig has held steady this month at 479 last week and the gas count dipped slightly to 99.
