EPNG Lifts Amarillo Force Majeure

NATGAS

El Paso Natural Gas (EPNG) has resolved the force majeure event declared May 22 associated with the Amarillo Compressor Station in Texas.

  • Consequently, EPNG will be lifting capacity through the AMAR N and AMAR S constraints effective Aug. 17.
  • EPNG has not yet specified the capacity increase through the constraints but will soon post an updated maintenance note to reflect the new flows.
  • Increased capacity via Amarillo should facilitate higher flows into North Texas and towards Oklahoma, lifting a supply bottleneck on downstream demand
