Equities Off Lows, DXY Falters At 92.500

CROSS ASSET

A fairly swift about turn in regional equity indices, with the likes of the KOSPI and ChiNext seeing a solid bid, facilitating a move away from lows, while the Hang Seng moves back into positive territory on the day. Once again, there was a lack of headline flow to drive the move higher after the circular nature of the aforementioned potential drivers of the earlier leg lower combined, which has resulted in some suggesting that the Chinese "National Team" may be supporting local equity markets. Elsewhere, the DXY failed to make a meaningful break above previously touted resistance at 92.500. Core global FI remains underpinned.
