  • SPX leading/lagging sectors: Energy (+2.24%) lead by O&G refiners (CVX +4.20%, XOM +3.13%, OXY +2.54%, VLO +2.0%). Consumer Discretionary next up (+1.54%) lead by auto makers, Tesla +8.18% following earnings, strong guidance (not to mention price target upgrades from Wedbush and Cowen).
  • Laggers: Materials and Consumer Staples both -0.35%, followed by Health Care (-0.25%), pharmaceuticals and bio-tech names weighing on the latter (PFE -2.62%, MRK -1.99%, BMY -1.5%).
