Erdogan Eyes New Pipeline For Turkmen Gas To Europe

Turkey, Turkmenistan and Azerbaijan will decide on whether there is need to build a new pipeline to transport natural gas from Turkmenistan to Europe, Haberturk cites Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan.

  • Erdogan says the capacity of the Trans-Anatolian Natural Gas Pipeline (TANAP) that carries gas from Azerbaijan to Europe is already full and can’t handle new volume from Turkmenistan
  • Discussions will focus on cost of the project and whether the European Union will share the burden.
