Erdogan Putin Meeting Concludes: Focus on Gas, Syria - No Talk of S-400s So Far

  • Making statements before the tete-a-tete meeting, President Erdoğan said regarding Turkey-Russia relations, "The steps we take together regarding Syria are of great importance.
  • The peace of that region also depends on the relations between Turkey and Russia." Putin, on the other hand, said before the meeting, "Our meetings with Erdogan do not always go smoothly. However, our relevant institutions and organizations can find a consensus."
