ETF Inflow Streak Reaches $40.1billion.

  • Exchange-traded funds that buy emerging market stocks and bonds recorded inflows for a 23rd straight week. That continues the longest sequence of weekly inflows in two years.
  • Last week, investors added $1.3 billion to U.S.-listed emerging market ETFs that invest across developing nations as well as those that target specific countries. This was down from last week's $3.45 billion increase, but extends 2021 inflows to $23.2 billion, according to Bloomberg data.
    • Stock ETFs expanded by $807.5 million.
    • Bond funds rose by $493.5 million.
    • China/Hong Kong had the biggest inflow, of $661.8 million, led by KraneShares CSI China Internet.
    • No individual country suffered significant outflows.
    • The MSCI Emerging Markets Index closed down 0.6 percent from the previous week at 1,330.36 points.
